Through partnership with Neste, Green Motion offers its customers a more affordable and sustainable way to refuel. Finnish oil refining company Neste has been ranked the second most sustainable corporation in the world.
Green Motion is a multinational car hire company, uncompromisingly operating under the slogan Vehicle Rental That Does Not Cost the Earth. Green Motion´s competitive edge stems from actively lowering emissions and environmental impact throughout the company´s operations. Green Motion is, among other prizes, a recipient of the prestigious Green Fleet Awards many consecutive years starting from 2009.
Much of the recongnition is due to the company´s ambitious CO2 emission mitigation vis-à-vis their fleet. At international level, the Green Motion fleet has achieved an average CO2 emission rate of 120 grammes per kilometre. To up the ante, Finnish Green Motion fleet has an emission rate of 100 grammes of CO2 per kilometre.
“Lower Finnish fleet emissions owe to our hybrid fleet. We always aspire to do more in fighting climate change”, says country manager and partner, Ms. Outi Takala.
Along with cutting emissions, Green Motion exclusively uses environmentally friendly car care products such as bio-based detergents and waxes.
As a part of their comprehensive environmental strategy, Green Motion has partnered with Finnish oil refining company Neste. For the duration of their rental period, Green Motion offers its customers a Neste loyalty refuel card as a bonus. The Neste loyalty card entitles Green Motion customers to a price reduction of 2.5 euro cents per litre at Neste stations chain throughout Finland.
Neste has been ranked the second most sustainable corporation in the world, and is the only energy corporation to have reached the Global 100 list of the world's most sustainable companies 12 consecutive times.
“Our customers choose us time and again because they want to make an impact on the evironment and climate also when renting a car. Green Motion and Neste share a similar set of values, and in the big picture we strive for a common goal. Therefore we feel that this partnership will be beneficial to both of us.”
“Positive change can be brought about only by taking the initiative and leading the way. That´s how we can offer people the chance to choose more sustainably”, Takala concludes.
